Description
Kisspeptin is a synthetic peptide derived from the naturally occurring peptide family encoded by the KISS1 gene. In research settings, Kisspeptin has been studied for its role in neuroendocrine signaling pathways, particularly those involved in hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal (HPG) axis regulation.
Kisspeptin interacts with the GPR54 (KISS1R) receptor, which has been widely examined in scientific research related to hormonal signaling, reproductive biology, and endocrine communication mechanisms. Due to this receptor interaction, Kisspeptin is frequently referenced in studies exploring central nervous system control of hormonal release.
